Italian plumbing

If you have ever been to Shephard's Bush, or mini Bombay as I like to call it as its full of my fellow Singh's in the fabric shops, you may have spotted some Gucci inspired pipes. If not, I visually recorded them for your pleasure.

Hermés

Tanned like a horrific WAG wannabe, but with far more class and desire to touch, Hermes collaborations are amazing. The tan leather and quality of its finish has the ability to make even a average looking car such as the Citroen 2CV (even tho quite an iconic car) look incredibly beautiful. Heres a few images of extreme luxury.

This tan ain't available at your local solarium.

Sub-concious buying

If you have walked around the streets of Shoreditch, East London you will see a distinct style. A pea-coat, real narrow denim and a pair of Doc Marten's is pretty much 'the ditch' uniform.
The other factor that may have influenced my decision to get my sister Floral Doc Marten's for her birthday, was probably the fact I have been surrounded by Liberty printed fabrics and working with them on a day to day basis. So put together It pretty much made my decision without me really thinking of what to get her....

Pretty stompers.

Super technical

The work of Aitor Throup is always very technical, multifunctional and utilarian. I admire his ability to put a garment together with such clever and innovative skill. His pattern cutting and ability to make things transform from one function to another is super dope. The fact he is a Bury fan isn't so cool, but his British influence and concepts and use of Fabric makes up for it.

H.O.B on Skins

House of Billiam can be seen on Skins throughout season 4 and featured in the last series too. Keep a look out for the very british bespoke hoody. If you look closely you can see one special right at the end as they walk collectively.

10 Corso Como

The company that I have been working for House of Billiam mainly stocks in Japan, 10 Corso Como is one of them stores, who coincidentally have done a collaboration with Liberty in London. I say coincidentally as many of our linings/ inners/ reverse are Liberty prints. The capsule collection is mainly all over printed accesories. Can be seen HERE.

We currently have just made a new reversible Varsity, samples have just been sent to Japan and Paris, and will be online very soon and also working on a full collection for Spring/Summer 2011. Still concentrating on the brands philosophy, very English fabrics and design, it will be quite brilliant :)

To Tokyo with care.

Layers

Guiliano Fujiwara 2010 Fall/Winter collection definately my favourite collection so far... Layers of quality constructed garments, leathers, heavy knits and tailored garments made a supremely strong collection. The high tops sneakers look pretty interesting too, remind me of Rick Owens with the oversized detailed tongues. check out the video below:

Strong.

Green

Possibly my favourite colour right now. Moss greens, forrest greens, bottle greens are definately big right now. This image from The Satorialist pretty much sums up the color I am talking about.

Keep it Green, stay Lean.

Natural wear and tear

Not so long ago I bought some Levi LVC 1954 501-Z Raw unwashed denim. When I purchased these I had the intention of wearing these everyday for 6 months so I could destroy them then wash them and they would carry real vintage character. Well im not the one to wear the same clothes everyday, so a friend of mine who goes by the name of Bendy, volunteered. After a month of him wearing them they are making real good progress, as he tends to make things look distressed rather quickly.

One month's progress:

Updates will follow.

Bendy, a natural f*@k up.

Re-killing a collector.

So many sneaker heads will most likely be extremely excited at the prospect of he Nike Air Jordan VI in Blk/Infra-red (varsity red, I was corrected) being re-released this week. Me on the other foot, will be quite upset! Due to the fact that I bought 2 pairs in 2000, from Footlocker and have kept them super fresh ever since, so its quite dis-heartening to know there getting a re-re-release, and pretty much everyone will have a spanking new pair. Somewhat selfish but im somewhat very passionate about shoes!

Anyway they scheduled to release on the 23rd of this month. I shall be wearing them everyday till then.

But do yours say Nike AIR on the back?

Wood finish

I pretty much like anything in wood finish, and the contrast of wood on more contemporary products. Wooden spectacles, mahogany dash and trim within luxury car interiors, fabric print which gives the effect of wood... pretty much anything. So when I was to see the re-emergence of the Polaroid Instant camera to say I was somewhat very excited would be an understatement, the camera looks incredible, as an ornament or to capture memories with heaps of character. Take a peak:

I can imagine it fitting perfectly in this Givenchy backpack. With studded shoulder straps...

Nice.

A message to the World....

... and the greed that controls it.

Avatar was incredible. Probably the best film I will see in 2010. even tho I eagerly anticipate Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland and Pixars Toy Story 3. Directed by James Cameron, which was initially wrote in 1994 it features a new generation of special effects and even tho the running time is just short of 3 hours it kept me quite captivated from start to finish. I felt the story sent a message on how the world has become in the way of greed, power and control, always wanting more and sacrificing life to get what we want. DEEP.

In Hinduismm Avatar or Avatāra (Devangari अवतार,Sanskrit for "descent" [viz., from heaven to earth]) refers to a deliberate descent of a deity from heaven to earth, and is mostly translated into English as incarnation", but more accurately as "appearance" or "manifestation".[1]

H by Harris

Its the use of bold primary colour that seriously makes me want one. The quilted high quality leather makes it a beautiful accessory. Recently released in royal blue, which is exclusive to oki-ni.

Simple luxury

Dont step on my red suede shoes.

I pretty much would like every colorway in this shoe. From pictures they seem like a low version of the Clarks dessert boot. The simplicity, use of fabric, monochromatic colour, and the subtle detailing makes them very appealing. Favourite colour I think would have to be the Lime Green and the Red.

no seriously don't step on them!

Proper.

A friend and I were discussing who, ideally we would like to wear our clothing. I concluded at Mos Def. He pretty much epitimises cool for me and seems so effortless.

"Its all cool, its a natural"
