In House production

Due to our manufactures, based in the UK having a whole heap of production going on, we decided to sew in house and get the pieces to the customer on time as we always try to promise.

Its sometimes nice to get back on the machine to create a bespoke put together by our lovely customers.

here's a few sewn in the last week:

We recently got invited to the Disturbing London Studios, being down the road from us we took a gentle stroll to see Dumi and the crew. We intend on working together very soon.

options.

I decided to create a Varsity for the upcoming tradeshow Jacket Required, to show the many options you have when putting together a bespoke piece. We havn't done accurate maths but there is over a million combinations, its pretty much limitless, as there are so many fabric options. It can get quite tricky for the indecisive man, who tends to go all black, or get quite a few, the latter being me.

Here is the one we put together, we tried to make it quite ridiculous, but even with all panels being a different color or pattern it was still quite wearable.

what can you come up with? OPTIONS HERE.

ClothSurgeon

ClothSurgeon is now registered as a brand so its time to do something with it. There will be some movements very soon, in trying to create a high end streetwar brand focusing on fine materials, details, function and wearability.

Two years in design working with House of Billiam, we have managed to stock at Dover Street Market, Liberty, 10 Corso Como, United Arrows, lets hope the same for ClothSurgeon.

Dose

I received another stash of goodies from Nike thanks to Energy Marketings Ronojoy, kindly bagged up 6 pairs of wonderful shoes, my favourite probably being the Huarache LE Free.

2011 was the year of the Blazer, 2012 im thinking will see huge re-emergence of the Huarache, I know for most sneaker heads that this shoe holds a strong pull on their heartstrings!!

The Motorcycle Boy Reigns

Elemenets of inspiration for AW12 were taken from a Francis Ford Coppola film Rumble Fish, made in 1983. A gang related movie with an all star cast, we took influence from the way they were dressed to the way each one of Rusty James gang members emotions and persona. Look forward to an eclectic collection bridging the gap, and blurring the boundaries of streetwear.

MB will Reign.

Dover Street Market

Its like winning the World Cup on a retail scale.

For me its the most prestigous store collaboration, we have done and possibly ever do. To say we have Rei Kawakubo look over our work and appreciate it enough to put it in her concept driven stores is quite amazing.

In Stores soon ;)

2012

Firstly Happy New Year all!

We have quite a busy few months ahead of us. Collaboration with Dover Street Market in Tokyo, Shanghai and London is confirmed which we are extremely delighted about.

Also a Trade show. We will be doing Jacket Required, quite appropriately named as we specialise in outerwear. Being our debut trade show we are quite excited, and slightly nervous at the same time not knowing what to expect.
Hopefully we should be fully prepared for the 12th February with a strong capsule collection.

Hattie doodled on our jacket

Recently we gave one of our jackets to illustrator Hattie Stewart to work her magic!

Her signature style, initially reminiscent of Keith Haring, took over the sleeves of our MB Biker, as we are quite subtle in what we do in terms of branding and print, it was nice to have Hattie add something unique to our garment. Thanks to Chloe at MY STYLIST SAYS for bringing us together.

Take a look.

Christmas wish list

From the last list I posted I did pretty well, few bits I got for myself, some from my lovely family and fiancée.

So here's the Christmas edition.

Crockett and Jones Malvern and Cavendish.

Lanvin Lapelle Pin.

Givenchy Riccardo Tisci T-Shirt.

House of Billiam Raglan Sleeve Tweed Suit.

Mackintosh x A Bathing Ape Coat.

Bass Weejun Layton Loafer.

Buzz Rickson Pea Coat.

Persol Folding Sunglasses.

Nike Mag McFly.

Christmas, the season of giving. :)

H.o.B x D.S.M

Ok well, when it comes to shopping and brands that I strive to sit alongside then I would say Dover Street Market is probably my favourite store in London, aswell as Liberty for its whole shopping experience, (CAKE).

So to do a collaboration with what is pretty much Comme Des Garcons, and to fit in with Rei Kawakubo's concept and direction is quite amazing. It would be the greatest achievement of my young Fashion career to date.

Fingers crossed it all goes to plan.

Its nice to be respected by the people you respect the most.

Registered

Finally the papers came through, I now have a registered trademark. Now to do something with it..... :)

Brand name.

OiNK OiNK!

Ok so when we find somewhere nice to eat we tend to eat it every day until we get bored, our latest venture was The Crazy Pig Cafe on Hoxton Street, fresh produce, well cooked food is always good.

All American breakfast, is my food of choice. The layers of pancake, bacon, pancake, bacon, pancake drizzled in syrup is such a mouth watering combinaton supported by a toulouse sausage and perfectly poached eggs.

Its so good it was a 'no brainer' that would be where we took our Danish friends Lisa and Silas from Soulland

Nothing Crazy about this Pig.

Dressing the Streets.

We decided to do a series of viral videos, to get some attention in a clever way. A hint to what we do and style in which we work in, Kazim and Chris at Some Think Blue executed the vision perfectly.
Here is the first in the series, keeping lamposts warm in this chilled climate.

to B continued....
