Tattoos have usually recieved a negative response from the public, but this all seems to be changing. It is being appreciated more within society as a Body Art and takes a very skilled artist to perform a good tattoo.

Often associated with Punks, The Yakuza, Gang Identity it now seems to be recognised as a positive growing Art. It has become alot more commercial within the last few years and making it acceptable for people from all walks of life to get permanent ink applied to their body, and is very evident within pop culture today.

An addictive pain that. Which once you forget, you are planning the next appointment.

ULTIMATE SKIN TATTOO

Its just a tatti Bugatti.

Well not really. A extremely rare 1937 Bugatti Type 57S Atalante was found in an old garage in Gosforth, near Newcastle, it had been unused since 1960 and is 1 of only 17 ever made.



This particular car is even more valuable because it was originally owned by Earl Howe, a prominent British race car driver, and because its original equipment is intact, so it can restored without relying on replacement parts. Bonhams will auction the car Feb. 7

Louis Vuitton x Louis Vuitton Don?

Rumour has it that the self acclaimed Louis Vuitton Don will be collaborating with French fashion Giants Louis Vuitton.

This will be on a range of sneakers. Brilliant White mono-tonal, im guessing to the same quality of Lanvin shoes and Common Projects. Simple design with attention to quality of production and materials.

This video below shows Kanye confirming the rumour but it all could be a hoax, similar to the April Fools by The Hundreds saying they had been bought by Louis Vuitton...


We shall have to wait and see, but the massive influence Kanye is having on the Fashion World by the things he has been seen wearing and his verbal expression for the love of Design. he also has strong relationship with LV's Creative Director Marc Jacobs it may seem the rumour is most likely true.

Pharell also has done a collaboration with Louis Vuitton. A Jewellery line named Blason, not a huge fan, but the 1of1 M-65 Jacket he had made for him by L.V was quite special!!!

I always thought a Vans x Louis Vuitton would be an obvious collaboration.

Colour Palette.

For my upcoming collection I have been considering a Monochromatic Tonal Collection. Meaning one colour for the whole collection with varied tones and fabric texture.

After seeing work by Giuliano Fujiwara and Hannah Marshall I think it will work well with the the idea of construction, layering, detail and silhouette of my garments and outfits.

The End Of The Beginning ....pre_COLLECTION

So the lack of blogging has been due to the RIDICULOUS amount of work that has been coming my way. Juggling briefs left right and centre it seems as tho the hard work has started to finally pay off.

This blog is to cover my final year at LCAD as a visual diary of interests and inspirations for my Final Collection. Pre-Collection research and design developement has just been handed in and given positive feedback by my tutors.

I decided to base my Pre-Collection on Surrealism and the work of Elsa Schiaperelli. Many artists then became prominent, such as:

These are just a few to name that will influence my research for a Streetwear Collection morphed with a 'Couture twist', produced with luxury fabrics and quality detailing throughout

Nike Spring 2009 Footwear

Two models from this collection instantlu caught my eye. The Vintage blazer as I have been searchin for this shoe religously on eBay! Hopefully there will be more colorways to come but the red is dope!

Then the Air Pegasus 89 'OG! For the simple fact I wanted them so bad in primary school, but all I recieved was a pair of Arrows from Barratts! To rub salt in the wound, a friend of mine who I did not particularly like got them in the dopest colorway, and outshone my Arrows wasnt hard though hey!

Due to the bad weather in the U.K I decided to acquire some winter footwear. Red Wings 875 IRISH SETTER BOOTS were the shoes of choice. Check out the video, which gives you an insight to how they are made and the History surrounding this work shoe.

Stussy x Futura

Stussy have come together with one of my favourite Graf Artist Futura. The signature spray can tee is my personal favourite and a defo pick up for me!



He also recently collaborated with Burton on snowboard under garments. Consisting of a top and bottom, the pieces combine Burton’s superb quality apparel with a pixelated print done by Futura.
