Motherland

I recently went on a well deserved Holiday. It was quite an experience, Mumbai, India is a weird and wonderful place where you can feel humbled and inspired continuously through out your stay. It was so nice to see family over there again, and just relax and enjoy the lifestyle.

I'll keep this post mainly visual as I could talk forever. Enjoy.

Choose your iD-entification

I was recently invited by a good friend to the Nike iD studio on Oxford Street, London to create a pair of complimentary shoes.

As you can imagine I was very excited about this prospect, being given the opportunity to design your own Nike shoes, with added features to the regular Nike iD Studio on the first floor of the newly renovated building.

I initially wanted to the Max 90 current but it did not have the mesh feature on the front toe so i opted for my favourite Air Max shape, 87, more commonly know as the Air Max 1. I wanted something monchromatic and subtle in combination but vibrant in colour.

So I created this badboy! All red upper with crepe sole.

Talkin' the Talk

Stussy is and has been for a while one of my favourite brands maybe due to the iconology and the history of the brand, it to me symbolises a big chunk of streetwear, where it has been and where it is right now. Shawn Stussy the creator of the brand tells you about the brands ideas and philosophy.

House of Billiam MB Brando Biker Jacket

Here it is. We have been wanting to do this shape for a while now, a typically iconic American garment for us made most famous by Marlon Brando but thats not what the MB stands for ;)

We have took influence from the Perfecto jacket and added our streetwear twist and British aesthetic. Its a more fitted garment and has ribbed cuffs and back panel, we wanted to keep it clean and not over design the garment. We, Matharu and Bird are quite happy with the final outcome.

Brand-o new.
